    The CSF Charge Cooler Water Radiator AKA Heat Exchanger is the most technologically advanced on the market.

    Independently proven to drop intake air temperatures by 10C vs. the OE heat exchanger. Car tested was a B58 car with Pure Turbos Stage 2 Turbo Upgrade!

    The tuning potential for the charge-cooled M1/240i, 1/2/3/420i and 1/2/3/425i is huge. However, once boost levels are increased the charge air temperature increases which is due to compressed air heating up. The stock cooling system works okay on a stock car but once boost levels are increased and more heat is introduced it begins to struggle.

    Increased heat robs power in several ways, the main being that hotter air is less dense and results in less oxygen which is key for power and with the hotter air the risk of knock is also increased, to counter this the ECU will introduce its safety protocols to reduce power until the air is cool again. 

    The only way to maintain and improve performance is to reduce the temperature is by improving the cooling performance. 

    Featuring a super thick 68mm dual-row core which maximises the space available with zero cutting. The Triple Pass design means that coolant passes through the core three times before the outlet for the coolest temperatures. Another feature which you will not find in other designs is CSF's unique B-Tube technology which uses a uniquely shaped tube, this allows CSF to use a thinner material whilst maintaining strength for an incredibly lightweight core which also improves heat transfer; it's around 15% more efficient than regular O-Tubes in the same space.

    B-Tube technology Unlike a regular oval shape O type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in a shape of a B. These B-tubes are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminium material (giving better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal O shape tubes that are welded. The design of the inlet in the middle of tube that is seam brazed, increases the heat transfer surface area of the tubes by approximately 15% over regular tubes. You get the efficiency of 2 smaller tubes vs. 1 large tube within the same space criteria.

    High Efficiency Multi Louvered Fin CSF uses ultra efficient multi louvered fins that are carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through each radiator core. Fin specifications are carefully measured and calculated for each application, and tested for maximum heat rejection efficiency in our wind-tunnel lab.

    The products from CSF also feature advanced end tank designs they offer two all-aluminium end-tank designs to match any style and performance need:

    OE Radial Tanks Flat and rounded end-tanks that are welded together and finished with our 1 hour Show-Stopper mirror polish process. For the customer who likes the sleek and smooth look, and wants to display the intricate welding associated with this design (CSF 7000 series).

    Deep Drawn Tanks The only high performance manufacture to feature this advanced radiator technology. These end-tanks are stamped to the same geometry of the applications original plastic end-tank. These tanks feature less welding, and are generally considered the strongest tank designs in the industry. Also finished with their Show-Stopper mirror polish.
